The new modular engine also uses less memory (RAM) and storage space on your computer. Where this is most noticeable is when you’re using the various AI-powered tools in Luminar Neo, such as Sky AI and the new Relight AI tool. This allows you to apply lots of different tools to an image without significant performance loss, with all edits saved automatically. ‘Modules’ help to evenly distribute the load while using the various editing tools in Luminar Neo for faster image processing. What differentiates Luminar Neo from all previous versions of Luminar is its ‘modular engine’. And that is baked in.Presets and other tools are quicker in Luminar Neo than in Luminar AI. Yes, these controls dictate how the jpeg will look. So if your Picture Control is set to "neutral", the default raw conversion will look different than if you selected "vivid" or "landscape". This is true even if you are shooting raw.

I assume you understand that Nikon will render the raw conversion differently based on the Picture Control settings you have applied to the camera. So can you or can you not select more than one image in the film strip? Shift will zoom to 100% if you click on the image in the viewer. Pop-up for export also in the middle of the screen.īy holding Shift and clicking on the first and last image in the group you can select entire group or holding Ctrl you can select random images either in the film strip or image browser. Of course you can only select one image at a time in the filmstrip. Shift works for showing 100%, once I click a folder the images are automatically shown in the filmstrip. I've been on the Nikon forums and 1 or 2 other have had similar issues but I seem to have 'special' treatment on my computer!! I'll wait for the next update.įWIW I've done four downloads and installations and nothing changes. Apparently it is not a global glitch, but on your installation. Pop-up for Export shows up in the center of the monitor. Selection with Shift and Ctrl works as usual. When I export an image the popup window often moves almost off the screen so I have to drag it back to use it. Every other programs they work so it's definitely an issue in Studio. ctrl and Shift don't work when selecting multiple images. Others haven't had the same issue but I can't solve it on my computer. My best guess is Studio's noise removal.īut Studio has a few bugs for me. I can't figure out what has made the change but it works. I've been a longtime user of Nikon's raw converters. I use LR by default for retouching but will keep an eye on the upcoming NX Studio versions.

It is obvious Nikon will manage its RAW files "out of the box" best, but hey, the other two still have way to go. When I wrote "no settings were applied" I meant no LR sliders were moved! Camera Standard was automaticaly applied in LR as this was the setting in the camera. And I am talking about latest version of LR Classic, not any of old LR versions.Īh, okay. Try to apply one of Camera profiles and see what happens. In this case LR applying Adobe color profile which is not always the best.

In all three cases RAW photo was imported without applying any settings. What settings do you have in LR for this image?

Luminar ai vs luminar 4 software#
Nikon software reads all in camera settings. I was amazed when I opened the very same Nikon D6 RAW image in all 3 programs.! Have a look at this HUGE difference in favour of NX Studio! Of course nobody manages Nikon RAW files better than Nikon SW, but hey this is really huge difference!
